Werenbach wants to make the step from a watchmaker's studio to an internationally established watch brand. This step will be financed with crowdfunding.
With the recent resurgence of space travel in the media, the start-up company has dedicated a new collection to commemorate both the past and present named the "Race to Space Editions".
With the latest collection, founder Patrick Hohmann has sent the German space community into an almost frenzy by salvaging the rocket that flew legendary German astronaut Alexander Gerst to the International Space Station (ISS) from the Kazakh Steppe and transporting them back to Switzerland to be used in the brand’s latest collection.
Zurich: With its new collection of watches made from authentic rocket material, Zurich-based start-up Werenbach has achieved a Swiss record on the international crowdfunding platform kickstarter.com.
Truly out of this world: Swiss watch brand WERENBACH presents a digital innovation
Zurich – Following its record-breaking crowdfunding success, Swiss watch company Werenbach extended its exclusive range of rocket watches in mid-November.
Zurich - His project was fully funded in just 30 minutes. Now – after two months - Patrick Hohmann has raised more than 768,000 CHF.
Right on time for the annual Baselworld – World Watch and Jewellery Show (17 March to 24 March 2016), Werenbach has expanded its range with a new model.
Through the combination of watches and literary pursuit, Patrick Hohmann, founder of WERENBACH, joins two worlds to create something entirely new: the fusing of timepieces with a true tale of adventure.
Werenbach is launching part one of its new watch collection. What sets these watches apart is the material that goes into them: the case is made from the melted-down outer shell of a genuine Soyuz space rocket following its mission.
